Clinical Supervision for Texas LPC Associates

Grow into the counselor you're meant to become.

Working toward full licensure is one of the most demanding stretches of a counselor's career — the caseload is real, the stakes feel higher than grad school led you to believe, and good supervision makes all the difference.

If you're an LPC Associate looking for a supervisor who is experienced, responsive, and genuinely invested in your growth, I'd love to support you.

My supervision style:

My approach to supervision is collaborative, practical, and warm. You won't find a rubber-stamping gatekeeper here, and you won't find a critic waiting to pounce. You'll find a thinking partner who will challenge you, support you, and help you develop the clinical judgment that no textbook can teach.

My supervision style blends:

  • Clinical case consultation — the what do I do with this client? conversations

  • Professional development — building your theoretical orientation, documentation skills, and ethical decision-making

  • Self-of-the-therapist work — because who you are shapes the work you do

  • Practical career guidance — billing, private practice, niche-finding, next steps after full licensure

What supervision with me looks like.

  • Individual supervision: 60-minute, one-on-one weekly sessions

  • Format: Virtual via secure video platform

  • Responsiveness: Between-session text support for urgent clinical questions

Supervision with me is a great match if you:

  • Value a supervisor who is warm and rigorous

  • Want to develop a strong clinical identity, not just clock hours

  • Are open feedback delivered honestly and kindly

  • Want to grow in experience and professional knowledge

My background

  • Approved Supervisor in Texas

FAQ section

How long does it take to get fully licensed through supervision with you?

Associates often finish between 1.5 to 2.5 years, depending on how quickly they accrue their hours.

  • Supervised Hours: 3,000 total hours (1,500 direct, 1,500 indirect).

  • Minimum Duration: 18 months (cannot be completed faster).

  • Supervision Requirements: Minimum of 72 hours of logged supervision over the 18+ months. (I keep mandatory logs of topics covered during our supervision meetings.)

  • Application Process: Once hours are completed, the final license application takes approximately 30-40 days to process by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC).

What if we're not the right fit?

Supervision is a multi-year relationship — fit matters. I offer a free 30-minute consultation so we can both decide before you commit.
